Nightmare of Ashihama OSRS

Nightmare of Ashihama OSRS

Nightmare of Ashihama

Coming soon to Old School RuneScape – the Nightmare of Ashihama OSRS release date is officially the 6th of February 2020!

In case you’ve been living under a rock and have no clue what the Nightmare of Ashihama is – let’s go through what you’ve missed.

The Nightmare of Ashihama is a group boss that’s located in the Sisterhood Sanctuary below Slepe, over in Morytania. Aimed at small to large groups (don’t worry – the boss’ combat stats scale to the size of your group!), this new group boss is quite similar to a boss like the Corporeal Beast. In regard to the Nightmare of Ashihama OSRS requirements – there’s none! Additionally, there’s no OSRS Nightmare of Ashihama quest to be completed.

The Nightmare of Ashihama, is a large horror that feeds on the life of those who have fallen asleep and inflicting them with terrifying nightmares until they die. If you’re brave enough to fight this terror, you’ll be in an instanced fight, one of two instances available per world (one for regular players, one for ironmen).

Not too much is known on the actual mechanics of the boss, or if they’ll be a surprise OSRS Nightmare of Ashihama quest released, so it’ll be a mystery for all of us until the day of the Nightmare of Ashihama OSRS release date comes!

For all you PvM’ers out there – this part is for you! There are some spectacular items up for grabs with the Nightmare of Ashihama OSRS rewards! Every player in who participates in fighting the boss and reaches a minimum damage threshold is eligible to receive the drops. If you’re lucky enough to get a unique drop roll, a specific weighting system is applied, which calculates which player will receive it, based on their damage input.

Onto the Nightmare of Ashihama OSRS rewards! There are 3 main drops available: The Inquisitor’s armour, the Inquisitor’s mace and the Nightmare staff (which can be enhanced – more on that later!). Furthermore, you could score a chance to get a pet, as well as a jar for the boss lair display in your player owned house.

First up – the Inquisitor armour! This set of equipment (helm, hauberk and plate skirt) has the Nightmare of Ashihama OSRS requirements of 70 strength and 30 defence to equip and specializes in crush accuracy and defence.

Next, let’s talk about the Inquisitor’s mace! The mace is a one-handed crush weapon, requiring 75 attack to wield. If you’re familiar with the Ghazi rapier, or blade of saeldor, the mace is quite similar – just specializing in crush instead. The great part is that it doesn’t degrade, or require any charges, so you’ll be crushing your enemies for as long as you please!

Let’s go over the main item – the Nightmare staff! The Nightmare of Ashihama OSRS requirements requires level 65 magic, as well as 50 hit points to wield, and is able to auto cast both standard spells, as well as ancient magicks. This staff gets a whole lot more interesting – as you’re able to attach one of 3 different orbs (dropped by the OSRS Nightmare of Ashihama boss) to drastically change it. Keep in mind, these enhanced staffs increase the magic requirement to level 75 to equip.

The first enhanced staff is the Eldritch nightmare staff, which is made by combining the nightmare staff with the eldritch orb, all dropped by the OSRS Nightmare of Ashihama boss. This staff has a special attack ‘Invocate,’ which takes up 75% of special attack energy to strike your target for a large amount of damage, while simultaneously increasing your prayer points by 50% of the damage dealt. In fact – using the special attack, you can get a prayer points count of above 99!

The next is the harmonised nightmare staff, which can be made by combining the nightmare staff with the harmonised orb. This staff allows you to cast standard spills one tick faster than normal, and completely eradicates the tick delay when you auto cast. Unfortunately, though, you’re not able to cast ancient magicks spells with this staff. Luckily, there’s no OSRS Nightmare of Ashihama quest required though.

And finally – the volatile nightmare staff, the result of combining both the nightmare staff and the volatile orb dropped by the OSRS Nightmare of Ashihama boss. This staff has a special attack called ‘Immolate,’ which takes up 55% of your special attack energy, to hit your target with 50% increased accuracy, dealing a high amount of damage.

There’s also an exciting new pet available amongst the Nightmare of Ashihama OSRS rewards, as well as a jar for your boss lair display. The Old School RuneScape team haven’t given us any sneak peaks for it – so stay tuned for that!

When the Nightmare of Ashihama OSRS release date comes around, if you’d like to try your luck at the boss, there’s two quick ways to get there. First, you could teleport to Ver Sinhaza via the Drakan’s medallion, and head north. Once you’ve reached the small dock area, head east until you reach Slepe, where the Nightmare of Ashihama is waiting for you. Or, if you don’t prefer using a Drakan’s medallion, you could always use an ectophial to teleport to the Ectofunctus and start heading north to the small docks. From there, pay Andras 10,000 coins to get to Slepe.

Good luck, and we hope you defeat the Nightmare!
